From 12/02/2014 to 23/02/2014
For many, a visit to Paris means a chance to discover the latest trends in music. That is definitely true for those who spend some of their time in Paris checking out the Fireworks Festival. From February 12 until February 23, 2014, the music festival will introduce many new talents who are taking the world by storm.
The Fireworks Festival is being organized for the third time in a row, and the relatively young event is taking place in some of the hippest places to catch a concert. From the Nouveau Casino to the Gaîté Lyrique to the Point Ephémère, the festival introduces visitors to the hidden gems of the Parisian music scene. These are the venues where indie music thrives, and where the true independent spirit of the City of Light comes out to play.
As such, the Fireworks Festival considers itself to be an avant-garde musical gathering, offering the music stars of tomorrow to the audiences of today. For this year's edition of the festival, the public can expect bands such as Mondkopf, Of Montreal and Au Revoir Simone.
Shows start at 7:30 p.m. or 8 p.m., depending on the night, and generally feature at least two acts — sometimes three. Genres include flamboyant rock, earthly folk and lively electronic beats. Bands from around the world are encouraged to participate, giving audiences the chance to hear artists from a wide range of styles and backgrounds.
Tickets can be purchased online, where visitors will also find more information about the venues and bands for each show. Therefore, guests staying at the Residence Henri IV should hurry to have an experience that not many visitors to Paris will have.
