From 14/03/2019 to 22/07/2019
This Spring, the Jacquemart-André Museum in Paris is offering visitors the chance to learn about a master from a different nation. When we think of European masters, there is a tendency to focus on the French, Italian and Dutch artists of the 18th century and beyond. This time, the spotlight is on a more modern Danish artist called Hammershoi. There are sure to be many attendees that are unfamiliar with the man’s work. However, the paintings are sure to draw you in as you explore different themes with nature, landscapes and interiors. There are also many interesting portraits.
This is an interesting retrospective for all those that want to learn more about his work or those that want to discover someone new. There are 40 pieces of Hammershoi’s work on show in total at the gallery from now until the 22nd of July. Make the most of this collection while you have the chance.
