I would like to highlight the friendliness of the staff at the reception and their willingness to always help the guest. The breakfast is excellent (regards for Jago), the location of the hotel is excellent. the rooms are clean.

Fantastic Experience! Fantastic Experience!

The hotel was in a great location, very comfortable, and the breakfasts were great. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, providing tips on restaurants, etc., and helped me out with a slight mobility issue I was having. Hicham in particular was so kind and helpful. I've been to Paris several times, but this was the best trip of all. I will book this hotel in the future whenever I return.

Henri IV--home away from home in Paris Henri IV--home away from home in Paris

What a charming place to stay! Henri IV will be my home for any future trips to Paris. The staff are kind, accommodating, and treated us like family. I love the robes in the room. The breakfasts with fresh squeezed orange juice and cappuccinos made to order and fresh croissants and baguettes spoil me. The location was central to the cooking classes we attended, Notre Dame and St. Chappelle, the museums, Luxembourg gardens and Pantheon. The immediate neighborhood had delightful dining options. Our guide's take on the best boulangerie, cheese and chocolate shops were a short walk away.

Love ,Love and Love Love ,Love and Love

Thank you for a wonderful stay. This charming French hotel is off the Main Street next to a little park and many little cafes and shops and markets . We miss waking up to the church bells everyday and hearing them ring on the hour all day . This location is exceptional. We stayed in one of the larger rooms with a living room, small kitchen and we were glad we did for our first trip to Paris.
Isham, thank you for guiding these first timers to Paris. We will be back. Merci .

Amazing hotel Amazing hotel

Amazing rooms, services, and staff. I didn't foresee that any hotel that we stayed at would be one of the highlights of the trip, but the Hotel Residence Henri IV has been a great addition to the trip. Highly recommended and would be my go-to hotel if I'm in Paris again.

Fantastic boutique hotel Fantastic boutique hotel

This hotel is an amazing find. Located in the Latin Quarter of Paris. Rome’s amazing, breakfast amazing, staff amazing. Great location walking distance to Notre Dame, Pantheon and Metro train

Great staff and service. Beautiful accommodations and nice rooms. Very much enjoyed our stay and felt welcomed. The reception staff is always there to help and provide an amazing service/ recommend things to do. They also offer a great taxi service to pick up from airports.

Very cute hotel, amazing staff Very cute hotel, amazing staff

This is a great place to stay. Very cute rooms, comfortable beds, and he BEST location. The staff were all amazin, so helpful and kind, our thanks to them all. If you have mobility issues, there is an elevator, but it can be a bit of a challenge. Otherwise, I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Excellent Stay! Excellent Stay!

Family of 3 stayed in the apartment and the extra room with sofa bed was the space we needed! The room was quiet, decorated so lovely and the bathroom was the best! Deep tub, perfect for soaking in after walking all day! And the shower pressure was perfect!. The location was great. Easy to walk to Notre Dame or home from dinner in Saint Germaine des pres. But the best part about the hotel is the staff! all so helpful and friendly! Felt safe and welcomed. Would stay again!

Highly recommended. Highly recommended.

We recommend this hotel for the quality and decor of the rooms, for the friendliness of staff, and for the breakfasts. Tucked away in a central area - particularly convenient for seeing Notre Dame - it is quiet and peaceful. Some very good restaurants nearby.

Great hotel Great hotel

A supernice small hotel with excellent location and very friendly staff. Walking distance to a lot you want to see, and so many nice restaurants nearby. We will come back here next time Paris

The Perfect Stay The Perfect Stay

This hotel is an amazing place to stay, could not ask for better. The rooms, staff and location all perfect.

Cozy hotel with great service Cozy hotel with great service

Staff were professional and accommodating. Email and phone responses are timely.
The hotel is small but has all the necessary amenities and services. The rooms were clean, and we experienced no issues with heating or hot water, which is important in the winter.
As the hotel is close to many universities, there are lots of places to eat for good value, and the neighborhood is good. Metro/bus access from the hotel was also satisfactory.
All in all would recommend!

Gorgeous boutique hotel Gorgeous boutique hotel

Perfectly located in the 5th, in a gorgeous building. Rooms are perfect and the wonderful staff are there for your every need. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more for an excellent stay in Paris.

The nicest place to stay! The nicest place to stay!

We spent a week in this lovely cosy hotel. The rooms are clean, immediate hot water in the shower, the stuff is super friendly and at full service at all time. (The helped me organise cake and baloons for my partner Bday) and breakfast is at great value!

Very pleasant stay! Very pleasant stay!

Our excellent suite was ready when we arrived early, with the optional champagne cooled and ready. The suite was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent each morning. The staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful. We’ll be back!

Magnifique! Exceeded our Expectations Magnifique! Exceeded our Expectations

My adult daughter and I just returned from Paris last week. From start to finish, this was a dream vacation! Staying in a lovely hotel contributed immensely to our overall experience.
The location is perfect -- on a quiet street, tucked behind the Sorbonne. This charming boutique hotel dates back to Napoleonic times. Our room was on the fifth floor, with two beds, two closets, a desk and small dining table, a large windowed bathroom with a deep-soaking tub, a kitchenette and a private terrace with table and chairs.
There are only 13 rooms in this hotel. Near the entry is a lovely reception parlor with a working fireplace. The lower level features a small spa with a steam room, which I reserved privately on two occasions. There is a breakfast room as well, but we chose to dine in our room.
The staff made our stay especially wonderful. Even before our arrival, they responded promptly to my emails. Upon our arrival, they greeted us warmly and had our room ready hours early. Whenever we had a question, they were available for assistance -- whether for directions, museum hours, restaurant recommendations, or tech help when needed. Their names are Kayser, Isham, Xavier and H (apologies for any misspellings and/or omissions). The housekeeper was excellent as well, and kept everything immaculate.
I would stay at the Hotel Residence Henri IV again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful stay and location. Walking distance to all the charms of Paris. Love that this beautiful older building has double pane windows- literally no city noise in the room! Staff was amazing and breakfast was delicious. This is now our go to hotel for Paris ❤️

You will find a distinctive, charming, warm & welcoming oasis at the Hotel Residence Henri IV! You will find a distinctive, charming, warm & welcoming oasis at the Hotel Residence Henri IV!

The Hotel Residence Henri IV always exceeds our expectations, so much that we just had our 6th or 7th stay & we'll be back again in the spring. The reception staff are lovely, warm, friendly & always ready to assist. We've stayed in several rooms & the spacious Medici suite, all are beautifully furnished & decorated, with comfortable beds & seating, fresh linens & pillows, & the kitchenette is a bonus. The bathrooms have all you want for a lovely soak in the tub & warm towels at the ready. We enjoy our wine on the balcony in the evenings. From this quiet corner of our favorite neighborhood in Paris you can sleep soundly, rest well & have a great breakfast, and then walk to many sites & art of Paris or make your way to nearby metro stations to explore widely. The staff are always ready to arrange for your needs, from calling for cars, to giving help on what to see, where to dine, and to greet you at the end of the day. Relax in the lounge & enjoy a nightcap, then settle into a quiet night of sleep. This is our home away from home in Paris! Thank you to the staff for always treating us so well at the Henri IV!

We couldn’t have landed in a better spot We couldn’t have landed in a better spot

Paris can be a daunting place for which to pick a hotel, esp for a first-time visit. So when a friend recommended the Henri IV, and the website looked promising, I jumped at it. It turned out to be just as wonderful in person. The room was clean, cozy, quiet, and an oasis of calm to return to after days in the busy city. The breakfast was lovely and the front desk staff could not have been more kind. We loved that the hotel was on its own little dead end street - no traffic zooming by - and the location was walking distance to so much, or at least to metro stations. We really felt lucky to have had this charming hotel as our Paris home.

Well appointed and service oriented hotel Well appointed and service oriented hotel

We stayed at the Henti IV Residence Hotel for 10 nights in September. We purposefully selected a hotel which had a kitchenette and was centrally located to allow for easy access to Parisian sites. The hotel was clean, the room spacious and we enjoyed having access to air conditioning and an elevator. What made our trip excellent however, was the service orientation of the staff at the hotel. We felt very supported in our holiday pursuits and really appreciated the attentiveness of the employees. Also being at the end of a street meant that our stay was very quiet. The other attractive feature was the small size of the hotel.

Secret Gem - this place is special! Secret Gem - this place is special!

This was supposed to be our last 2 nights in Paris but after our flight was cancelled the wonderful concierge Kaiser came to our rescue. He organized another beautiful room, helped book alternate flights for us and even organized a new hotel because this one was then fully booked before we flew out. . Thank you so much. The hotel is quiet, full of historic charm and comes with almost every desired amenity. This hotel will make your romantic dreams of a stay in Paris come true. We even got our own knight in shining armour.

I'd visit again. I'll definitely recommend. I'd visit again. I'll definitely recommend.

My son and I stayed in a Henri IV "mini apartment" for the Paris 2024 Olympics, for 6 days. The hotel's staff is beyond amazing. Our room had twin beds. It was spacious and comfortable enough. Though, I wish it was larger, but I added my son about 2-3 weeks before we arrived. The bathroom made me forget about the space I was missing. As a first time visitor to Paris, I thought the Henri IV's location was a bit odd, but then I came to realize its one of the hotel's many distinctive features which classifies it as "boutique"; another is its large enough elevator. From our wrought iron balcony we could see the inside of a small sitting park which is partially separated from the Henri IV by a wall which has my daughter's name written on it. My son sent a picture of it to his sister. Across the street from the hotel you can catch the bus to begin your short journey to subways or you can walk. The Seine and Notre Dame is a 7-10 minute, depending on how fast you walk. The Sorbonne is a 5-7 minute walk away. The Lourve and Eiffel Tower are also 15-20 minutes by bus, and or subway. There's a 5-7 minutes walk to the subway which arrives to Versailles in about 30-45 minutes. There is about a 10-20 minutes walk to Versailles itself from the subway. The Henry IV's immediate neighborhood also has a pharmacy, supermarket, restaurants, cafes, liquor stores, pizza shops. Closer to the Seine there's starbucks, shopping, lots more restaurantes and cafes, and for my son, fast food. The Henri IV is on the left bank. Walking from the hotel you can cross the bridge to the right bank in about 10-15 minutes. My son found every MacDonalds, Burger King and Kentucky Fry Chicken on the Left and Right Bank within walking distance. He didn't find Wendy's. He did however take a liking to macaroons. I believe my hotel stay included its continental breakfast. Or at least I showed up for a breakfast tray every morning. You can sit for breakfast in what I like to refer to as the " premium breakfast nook" another distinctive feature of the building, on its lower floor. I'd visit again. The Henri IV has an ambience which may call some to return. I will. I've already recommended it.

Excellent location, great for families with teens Excellent location, great for families with teens

We loved this hotel. The location is amazing...on a quiet spur of a street, within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, the Seine, Notre Dame, major Metro stops, and so much more. The communication from the hotel pre-trip was excellent and the staff at the front desk during our stay was welcoming, helpful, and quick to respond to any request. We added-on the breakfast each morning as a convenience during a busy trip (we stayed here during the Olympics). This was an excellent choice. It was a luxury to have quality breakfast items, including fresh breads, baked goods, cheeses, meats and a hot dish, along with drinks served within the same building. Plus, our one bedroom apartment had lovely decor, was immaculately clean and even had two balconies. It also had just enough space to comfortably accommodate a family of four without needing to get a second room.

Very helpful staff! Very helpful staff!

Very nice and charming hotel in attractive area of Paris. Personal rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly and attentive staff.

Lovely boutique hotel Lovely boutique hotel

Had a wonderful stay in this charming family run hotel in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Rooms are furnished with period pieces but comfortable and the bathroom is modern. Air conditioning is well appreciated. Staff is welcoming and friendly. There are obviously many hotels to choose in this area but this is the best one I’ve stayed at in my many years of visiting Paris.

Gorgeous rococo hotel in the Latin Quarter Gorgeous rococo hotel in the Latin Quarter

The hotel exceed our expectations, the room was very big with a French balcony, comfortable beds, big bathroom. Small kitchenette at the entrance, welcome water. It is very well connected, either walking or metro stop very close. A lot of bars and restaurants around.

Charm and a caring staff Charm and a caring staff

This is a small hotel with a big heart and great character, tucked into a corner of the Latin Quarter and so in walking distance from great bookstores and cinemas, the Marais, and the wonderful islands in the Seine. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful in all circumstances; and the rooms have the kind of style that reminds one of films from the 40s and 50s.

Family-friendly and comfortable Family-friendly and comfortable

We stayed at this lovely small hotel for six nights. It was perfect for us. We had two rooms, side by side, one for us, and one for our teenager. Our room was spacious with a separate sitting room. Both rooms had kitchenettes, which were so convenient when we didn’t feel like going out to eat. The AC is excellent with individual climate control. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s in a quiet location a short walk to public transportation and Notre Dame. We liked the Latin Quarter and this hotel as our home base for the exploring Paris! I would definitely recommend it for families.

Lovely boutique hotel in Paris Lovely boutique hotel in Paris

We stayed only one night in the hotel, but it was perfect and had quintessential Paris charm. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and the bathrooms had wonderful water pressure. We loved the small seating area outside the window and it was a short walk to the metro. Lots of restaurants and things to see in the area. Very close to Notre Dame.

Lovely stay Lovely stay

This is a beautiful little hotel, very French with regards to style and atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Lovely Hotel , Neighborhood and Staff!! Lovely Hotel , Neighborhood and Staff!!

Recently stayed at Henri IV and we so pleased we did! It was a great base to see all of Paris from! Walking distance from the Seine, bus stops, Metro, and a host of wonderful stores and bakeries. The staff was wonderful, we were greeted warmly by Hicham who helped us to our room which had a large sitting room, bedroom, kitchenette and balcony. It was clean, and nicely furnished, with good toiletries. We really loved the balcony and it overlooked a small park. Hicham even drew us a map so we could find our way easily. Quaser and H were also very kind, and helpful, as was the breakfast staff. Highly recommend Henri IV for your next Paris visit!

Excellent!! Excellent!!

The staff is unbelievably friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The location is also great. Walkable access to almost everything, yet quiet and comfortable.

The Hotel Residence Henri IV was a great hotel, located on a dead end quiet street, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was quiet and very comfortable, they have a stream room for two and provide robes and slippers. The hotel is a short walk to the Seine River and Notre Dame, Many cafes and restaurants also nearby.

Perfect Boutique Hotel Near La Sorbonne Perfect Boutique Hotel Near La Sorbonne

We returned for a quick 2-night stay as our flight was departing from CDG. We were overjoyed with the perfect service, wonderful staff, and great suite once again as we had visited Paris for a week in 2023 and stayed at this hotel. The elevator is small but easy. The air conditioner if needed is cold. The location is superb and seems calmer and safer with primarily students nearby. Easy walks to Notre Dame, St Germaine, or Jardin de Luxembourg whichever direction you may choose. The staff arranged a car for our morning departure to CDG and it was early and door to door perfect service. We will be back!

Great staff, great location, comfortable hotel Great staff, great location, comfortable hotel

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Residence Henri IV in May 2024, and could not have been more thrilled with our stay. The staff was very helpful and attentive, the breakfast was a great value for starting the day, our accommodations could not have been more comfortable, and the hotel's location was incredibly convenient to a vibrant neighborhood and access to tourist sites. The hotel is located in the shadow of the Pantheon, with easy access to metro stops and conveniently located between two RER stops so getting back and forth to the airport could not have been easier.
Due to the small boutique nature of the hotel the staff learns your preferences and provides incredible service. Cannot recommend this hotel more.

Very nice little typical French hotel Very nice little typical French hotel

Very nice little hotel. Nicely placed close to Pantheon and Saint Germain and all its restaurants. Very nice and not too small rooms. Typical French deco. Nice and friendly staff. Apparently have a spa which I did not try. Very good value for money.

Long weekend break Long weekend break

The hotel is in a great location and I can highly recommend it. It is now my favourite hotel in Paris!

A hidden gem A hidden gem

I am sooo happy that I found this gem. It's tucked away in a corner but the perfect environment if you love the old Parisian decor. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!!! They have an elevator that fits one person and some luggage...barely!

The perfect staff, location and accomodations in the Paris Latin Quarter The perfect staff, location and accomodations in the Paris Latin Quarter

This hotel is an absolute hidden gem and the staff there were wonderful . The location was ideal. Residence Henri IV is steps away from the Sorbonne, down the hill from the Pantheon, a block or two away from several cafes, a short walk to both Notre Dame in one direction and the Luxemboug Gardens in another. It's also an easy stroll to the fabulous gourmet shops and open market at 47 Blvd. Saint Germaine. The rooms and accomodations were lovely. Most of all, the staff was kind, thoughtful, friendly and ever helpful. If there is an award for best concierge in Paris, Hicham - the manager of this gorgeous 13-room boutique 4-Star - could easily win. BTW - the surrounding area is very historic going back to Roman Times. I found magic around every corner.

Charming boutique hotel Charming boutique hotel

Thank you to the welcoming staff of this sweet find. The hotel has been a hotel for over 100 years, I was told by one of the knowledgable front desk staff members. It's filled with history yet updated with all of the modern fixtures that make life more comfortable. I highly recommend this small boutique hotel for singles, couples or even families.

We have found our new home in Paris We have found our new home in Paris

We used this excellent boutique hotel in December 2023 for a weekend getaway. We had a suite which was extremely well equipped with a sitting room, small kitchenette and double bedroom. The staff could not have been more helpful. I had requested a bottle of champagne in the room on anrrival and they asked me what time I would like it so that it was provided in an ice bucket full of ice. More than this they provided a large plate of charcuterie and cheese which I was not expecting but was very welcome. Upon departure they were able to accommodate a late checkout which was welcome as it was somewhat rainy outside, loved our stay and will definitely repeat. We are a retired couple living in Toulouse.

Stunningly Beautiful; Impeccable Service Stunningly Beautiful; Impeccable Service

Charmingly intimate boutique hotel in a quiet Latin Quarter cul-de-sac (just 13 rooms). Breathtaking views from both front and back windows. Exquisite antique furnishings and decor. Conveniently located two blocks from the Metro; just a 10-minute walk from the Panthéon. Highly attentive service.

A Charming Paris Hotel A Charming Paris Hotel

The hotel is a gem that provides outstanding service in a quaint yet sophisticated environment. It is small only 12 or so rooms. However, our "room " was a really a small suite. It has a bedroom with a queen bed, a separate sitting room, a tiny kitchenette and nice bathroom.
Every member of the staff provided excellent service at all times.

Hotel Residence Henri IV - So many Memories of a Different Era! Hotel Residence Henri IV - So many Memories of a Different Era!

The Residence Henri IV is a very special, small boutique hotel perfectly located in the 5th arrondissement on a dead end street within walking distance to the Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, the Seine and Notre Dame (heartbreaking yet making incredible strides toward re-opening). Rooms are ornate, outfitted with a small fridge, cook top (which we never used), small, but typical of Paris hotels, lovely Juliet balcony, immaculate bathroom. Hicham, Xavier and Qaisar oversee this special hotel and were generous with their time and recommendations. Great breakfasts! We felt very well cared for in this lovely hotel.
About 50 years ago, I spent some wonderful times in the less adorned Hotel Plaisant owned by the Brethous family - who remain involved in this upscale version in the same footprint of the simpler version of a different era. Then, the hotel attracted a mostly young clientele of backpackers, graduate students living there on an extended stay basis (It had been featured in the Harvard student guide: Let's Go). We'd gather for breakfast and sometimes had a hard time breaking away two hours later to begin the rest of our day. Many happy memories in this special hotel.

Hidden gem in the center of Paris Hidden gem in the center of Paris

Hidden gem in the famous Quartier Latin. This small boutique apartment hotel leaves nothing to be desired.
+ unbeatable location in the heart of Paris, close to everything : Cité, Jardin de Luxembourg and even Louvre are reachable on foot. Closed to metro station
+ super central but quiet
+ surrounding: many boulangerie and small restaurants for any taste
+ rooms: impeccably clean, clever planned scarce space, air-conditioned, design and decor with fine Pariser flavor. Room's highlight - typical Pariser balcony with a view over roofs of Paris. Kitchenette with microwave and fridge are very functional for quick dinner or special meal. Tea-making set.
+ elevator till the last floor
+ staff: simply fantastic
+ very good breakfast which can be served on the room balcony, room service
+ Middle segment price with high quality
(-) fitting carpets might be problematic for allergic sufferers. No sockets to charge mobile next to bed (in our room)

What an amazing hotel!
This cute boutique hotel gives you an experience you would never get at the bigger brands. Such a personal experience!
The room - so French and chic! The decor is beautiful and one of the reasons we have returned here. So luxurious!
While it’s a shower over the bath it’s easily the best shower we’ve had in our 2 month round the world trip. Amazing pressure and the bidet is a nice touch.
The staff. So friendly. A warm and genuine welcome every time you enter or leave the hotel. It’s such a nice touch leaving your key at the front desk when you head out for the day. I honestly can’t say enough about the staff here. After returning from a 14 hour day trip to mont saint Michele, Achour went out of his way to make sure a local restaurants kitchen was going to be open if we walked there and actually called the brasserie and the our room to let us know so we could freshen up. Easily the most friendly people in Paris. Even provided us a couple of umbrellas cause it was raining!
The area is perfect. Nice and quiet for a perfect sleep at night yet very walkable to attractions. The balcony’s are beautiful. My partner and I drank wine and ate macarons we had bought during the day and felt like we were practically French :)
This is our 3rd stay in Paris and our second stay at this hotel. While we enjoyed the second hotel we stayed at the last time we were here all the reasons above is why this is our preferred hotel when staying in Paris and why we will stay here again.
Thank you hotel residence hotel IV team. You have exceeded our expectations once again and we will be sad to check out tomorrow.

A beautiful boutique hotel in Paris! A beautiful boutique hotel in Paris!

We have now stayed at Hôtel Residence Henri IV two summers in a row (2022 and 2023); and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Paris! The room rates are reasonable, the rooms themselves are lovely and authentically Parisian, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, the bathrooms are updated with all the modern conveniences, the breakfast is extensive and wonderfully prepared, and the staff--well, the staff are amazing--very kind and generous! The concierge with whom we have worked most closely helped us with making dinner and concert reservations, booking taxis, and more--a truly gracious gentleman. Hôtel Residence Henri IV is a place of genuine charm and grace, we feel so fortunate to have discovered this hotel, and we hope to return in the near future! With our warmest thanks to all at Hôtel Henri IV!

Lovely place to stay! Lovely place to stay!

Charming little hotel, great location, friendly and accommodating staff...what more can you ask for?! My room even had a lovely little balcony, but unfortunately it rained almost every day so I didn't get to use it. I would happily stay here again!

Best staff, great location, you feel taken care of Best staff, great location, you feel taken care of

This was our second time staying at Hotel Residence Henri IV. The hotel is located pretty close to ile Saint-Louis, one of our favorite quiet spots in Paris. The hotel staff really make this hotel one of the best places to stay. We had a problem with our luggage, which was lost, and Hicham went above and beyond, even making calls on his days off, to help us. If not for that man, I would not have gotten my luggage back. I can't say enough about him. The other front desk gentlemen were also very friendly, kind and helpful as well.

Perfect place to stay in Paris Perfect place to stay in Paris

This is the perfect place to stay! Close to everything so we were able to walk almost everywhere we went though the metro stop was close and easy to use. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores near by. We never felt uncomfortable and no matter when you get back, there is a friendly face to greet you. The room was fantastic! A small kitchenette with a refrigerator, burner and microwave, a sitting room that was separated from the bedroom, a balcony where we sat and had breakfast every morning, plenty of pillows, a hot shower with a strong water flow and comfortable beds. The staff is so friendly and always greeting you with a smile and willing to help you with whatever you need. Highly recommend!

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Exceptional service.
The concierge staff was delightful, thoughtful, warm, and absolutely set the a new bar in terms of my expectations for what is possible in high-quality hotel service.

Friendly, accommodating, clean, and well located. Beautifully styled and comfortable rooms. Friendly, accommodating, clean, and well located. Beautifully styled and comfortable rooms.

Loved our stay here. The staff were friendly, accommodating and proactive (when my my hair dryer was unsatisfactory, they immediately found a traditional dryer - perfect). The room was beautiful, and location so convenient (walking distance to main attractions and to 3 metros). I would definitely return here.

Small, charming, well-located. Small, charming, well-located.

My second visit: Charming small hotel, quiet, perfect location in the Latin Quarter, professional and friendly staff. On a short cul-de-sac next to a park but a short walk to Blvd. San Germain, Notre Dame, the Seine.
Room beautifully decorated.

Small boutique hotel with great customer service Small boutique hotel with great customer service

The staff is amazing. They went above and beyond to help my wife and I have a great time in Paris. Really fun to stay and a small hotel that understands customer service. If you are tired of being a nameless guest in a big hotel, try this small hotel. They will know by name and treat you well.

Will be returning!! Will be returning!!

Wonderful location in the historic Latin Quarter. Small boutique with a very personal feel. The staff exceeded all expectations! The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The offered breakfast was also very tasty. We will be coming back soon!

Delightful and Charming Delightful and Charming

Lovely small hotel. The Concierges could not have been more helpful and were a delight to chat with. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very comfortable, Brekky great. This was my 2nd visit here and I would absolutely recommend it. The hotel is very French and traditionally and quirkily furnished as appropriate to o King Henry iV !!!!

Small, Perfect Hotel in Latin Quarter Small, Perfect Hotel in Latin Quarter

We stayed 7 nights the end of May 2023 at Henri IV. We were in room 32 which is a 3/4 Appartement with a roomy king (or can be made into 2 twins) bedroom, separate living room with queen sofa bed, small kitchenette corner, and nice tiled bathroom with a window. The tiny elevator easily moves 2 people and the air conditioning was cold! We added the continental breakfast which included fresh squeezed orange juice, mariage freres teas, and l’ancienne jams with fresh baguettes and croissants (along with many other items) each day. They will bring a tray for breakfast to your room if requested. The location is ideal a couple of blocks from bustling streets but by a quiet small park. The staff led by Isham during most days is top notch! The smiling welcomes and assistance when needed from all staff was the best. We will definitely return and miss the beautiful pink geranium views every day! Au revoir!

Wonderful experience Wonderful experience

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are lovely. We stayed for 5 nights. Our room (double elegance room) was the perfect size for my husband and me, but as an FYI did not fit 2 massage tables at the same time. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There were 2 small tables, each with a chair, which were very convenient. The hotel is very clean and each time the maid service came they did an excellent job.
All of the staff at the front desk were very welcoming and knowledgeable, but Isham in particular was just wonderful. He was very patient, helping us print tickets and giving advice on the best way to get things done. The hotel also has a map with recommended restaurants and all of the ones that we tried were delicious.
We would recommend staying here!

And this was it. Professional and engaging staff, comfortable bed, loved the balcony and big windows! The complimentary champagne for a birthday celebration was a very nice surprise!

Well located hotel in Latin Quater Well located hotel in Latin Quater

Good sized room, the bed was comfy along with the pillows.
All the staff were helpful in all aspects in telling us about restaurants, places to see and general chat.
We spent 2 weeks in hotel so got to know all the staff and they made our home away from home great. We've been to Paris before so did the lesser touristy things and also just walked the streets.

Beautiful and charming boutique hotel in a great location. Beautiful and charming boutique hotel in a great location.

We love the classic ambience and charm of Hotel Résidence Henri IV. The location is terrific for walking around the sites of Paris.
Our only suggestion is more electrical outlet are needed. We understand it is an old hotel but in today’s world we need to charge things.
Beautiful and charming place in a great location.

Our new place to stay for all visits to Paris Our new place to stay for all visits to Paris

We stayed for a bit more than a week and were very happy with this hotel. I brought my 90 yr old mother to cross off a bucket list item for her. The hotel was tucked at the end of a street in a quiet area. Though we did have a student protest march past at about 1am one evening. That was not unsuspected since Paris was in the middle of a number of strikes and protest at the time and we were located steps away from different universities. You are an easy walking distance to various gardens, famous churches, Notre Dame, St Germaine Pres, Louvre and Truilleres. It feels like a small neighborhood than a big city.
We had an apartment accommodation which worked wonderfully for us. It allowed us flexibility for sleeping with either a bedroom or a sofa bed. Or one person could be resting and the other in the sittings room reading/using a computer. There was extra blankets if need, and plenty of extra pillow of all types: memory foam to various softness of polyfill. The kitchenette was handy to have for use. We had picked up some lovey food one day that we were able to heat up for our evening meal. Nice when we had a long day which wore mom out. The rooms could use a spruce up on some things. But were still very pleasant. I am sure it is lovely in later spring when it windows can be thrown open. The rooms and bath were generally well fitted. This included some lovely bath salts to soak in after your day's fun. The shower was very hot and strong... wonderful. There is a quirky lift in the hotel (helpful for older folks or if you are on an upper floor)... but it is very small. Not much more than 2 people with small packs fit.
My few comments would be to have a wine opener in the kitchen ( it is France after all). The choices available for drinks next to the hot pot was poor. We just picked up better tea while we were out. The bed was on the on hard side. I am not sure if the hardness was bc we asked to have the bedroom made up as a double bed rather than 2 singles.
Breakfast at the hotel had more than enough with pastries, eggs, meats, cheese , fresh fruit, muesli, yogurt, etc. Any type of cafe could be order and fresh OJ was served. We never felt rushed to leave even though the dinning area was small. It was nice to chat with other guests. You could also request breakfast to be delivered to your room instead (cafe of choice with pastries and bread selections). It made it easy to then get out and start your day. We opted for this later option when we had some lovely pastries left over from a previous day's adventure.
It was the Staff that truly made this hotel shine. They were there to help you enjoy your stay in Paris in any way possible. Because the hotel is small, they go to know us. And were available 24/7. As an example, we returned one cold rainy evening after a full day's outing. We were immediately offer a cafe to warm up in the lounge. A very nice way to end out day. They were also great at organizing ride from an/to the airport making it easier for my mother.

fabulous hotel fabulous hotel

wonderful hotel - great service - comfortable beds - great power shower - really handy kitchenette - fabulous location, close enough to the tourist areas but in a quiet side street. we couldn't recommend it enough!

We loved it! Definitely planning on coming back to this hotel. We loved it! Definitely planning on coming back to this hotel.

Highly recommended!
1. My favorit location in Paris. Very central but not on one of the main roards.
2. Our room was very cozy. Good size, nice littel balcony, very clean, very comfortable bed.
3. Staff was amazing. Impecable service. They truly make you feel at home.

Absolutely wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!

The staff here made us feel at home from the first moment of arrival. The breakfast is absolutely outstanding, and our room was beautiful and quiet. The entire house is spotless. The location is very convenient to different metro lines and buses. A quick walk to many important sites. Five minutes to Notre Dame, etc. Plenty of hot water and a bank and wonderful market only two short blocks away. Lots of bakeries and good cafes and restaurants very close by too. Merci beaucoup! We loved everything about your hotel. xo

Good location and Professional Staff Good location and Professional Staff

We stayed there for 12 nights. The hotel is located in the Latin Quarter and is very classic. I felt like I was living in the Belle Epoque, and every night I entered the hotel, I felt like I was witnessing a scene from <<Midnight in Paris>>. As the hotel is on the left bank, I enjoyed being surrounded by the Sorbonne and several bookstores, which allowed me to feel the intellectual atmosphere of Paris with its bookstores. Sure, the hotel's facilities aren't modern, but the classic atmosphere makes up for that lack - this hotel is Paris itself. What impressed us even more was the hotel staff, who made our stay very comfortable. It deserves six or seven stars. This is the only hotel we have stayed in that felt like home.

Charming friendly and warm hotel Charming friendly and warm hotel

This hotel was so charming and comfortable. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. And I felt quite safe at all times. The room was perfect with a small balcony. Room temperature was great and windows opened which I liked for fresh air. The breakfast was excellent and staff was very nice. It is on a cul-de-sac so noise was at a minimum.

Wonderful experience all the way around. Charming hotel, great location, amazingly helpful and friendly staff, very nice breakfast. We stayed in the suite which was a perfect place for our friends to meet to plan our day or have a nightcap. Highly recommend!

Nice stay, will return again Nice stay, will return again

I stayed here solo and this hotel was recommended by the conference I was attending. I would say I was pleasantly welcomed by Hicham. He made sure I was welcomed and the stay was warm. He helped with nice restaurant, bakery recommendations to finding out metro station. I just felt he was very welcoming and loved what he does. The room was not as fancy looking as in the pictures but it was nice, cozy, and clean. The bathroom (the toilet bidet) and the shower was definitely very clean and neat. I didnt get a chance to join the hammam or the breakfast, but I will definitely stay again to try.

Charming and Warm Accommodations in a Perfect Location! Charming and Warm Accommodations in a Perfect Location!

This is a very nice European hotel right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Plenty of meal options within a quick walk. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Loved having a small kitchen area, fridge and little extras like tissues and water in the room! Its the small touches that really add up! Nice clean bathrooms and impeccable service, very warm and accommodating. You can tell they truly care about making the guest experience wonderful! The balcony was amazing. Our two teens also enjoyed the location and my youngest loved the winding staircase to her room!

Great stay to place in Paris Great stay to place in Paris

Central location — easy to walk anywhere in central Paris. Smooth check-in. Nice room. Very modern and beautiful bathroom. Very quiet hotel and location. Nice breakfast menu. Small hotel so very few other guests, and good personal service by all the hotel staff.

A perfect stay in Paris A perfect stay in Paris

Absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect for sightseeing, there is a good selection of food that you can get right in the hotel (and plenty of restaurants nearby), but mostly the staff is phenomenal. So kind, helpful, friendly, accommodating, and charming. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Paris!

Excellent! Excellent!

This was a Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff, very welcoming. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
Great location! Close to everything. Close to public transport.
Would stay here again! Highly recommend!

Everything was great! Everything was great!

We were only here for 1 night, the experience was great!
the hotel is in a very central location, about 15 minutes walk from a RER B station (which in Paris passes in a moment).
the guys at the reception were very nice and helpful.
We got upgraded from the basic room we booked to an apartment (probably because the hotel was fairly vacant at the moment), which is great!
The decor and style of the hotel are absolutely clean, all the facilities inside the apartment were great, really seems like they've thought of everything!
also everything is very clean and in great shape!
I booked ahead the hamam and it was ready for us at the expected time. it's fairly small but it's also private an really does the job!
didnt have the breakfast so can't say anything about that
generally i feel like i got a very good worth for my money!
would definitely recommend, and come again myself

Great Experience Great Experience

Excellent, small, boutique hotel. Decorations felt like going back in history. Very friendly staff, very different and enjoyable experience compared to a typical hotel. Breakfast was excellent as well, not a lot of choices but good quality food. Very cozy atmoshpere.

Highly Recommended Highly Recommended

We spent 2 weeks over the 2022-2023 Christmas-New Year's holidays in Paris at the Résidence Henri IV in the 5th arrondissement (Latin Quarter). It was the perfect location for our visit. Within three blocks: • several bakeries, pastries and cafes. Be sure to try the "Best Baguette in Paris" at La Parisien and meringue delights at Aux Merveilleux. • Monop' and Franprix stores • two self-serve laundromats. Now that we’ve experienced just now ridiculously easy it is to do our own laundry, we will reduce our luggage amount! For this site, it was around 5 euros per load (that includes the washer and dryer) in about 75 minutes. Our concierge was the one who encouraged us to use the laundromat and stepped out of the front door of the hotel to show us where it was. • The area felt more like a neighborhood and not so much a tourist area, yet close enough to the places we wanted to visit by walking or accessing through the Metro. Perfect really. The hotel is in a wonderful, walkable location. A ten minute walk in one direction is the Pantheon and Jardin du Luxembourg; ten minutes in another is the Seine, Notre Dame and Rue des Saint Germaine. Of course, there is a Metro nearby as well. For runners, the Jardin du Luxembourg is the place! There are many runners doing the perimeter early in the morning so it’s safe and close and beautiful. Also, the Seine is close but be aware that some of the course is cobblestone. The hotel itself: • With only 13 rooms in a small alcove with no through-traffic, it is quiet and comfortable. We never heard any sound from the room above and only occasional conversation from the room next door. (There are only 2 rooms on each floor.). Our son had a top-floor room with a small balcony with 2 chairs and a small table, overlooking the small park across the street. Lovely and quiet. • The Reception staff was wonderful; welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. The main concierge (manager?) spoke fluent English and made us feel completely at home. All the other staff spoke a reasonable-to good amount of English, while we tried out our French! • Rooms are spacious, according to European standards, with a terrific bathroom (modern, bidet, warming towel rack). The small kitchenette was perfect for our picnic items - sink, microwave, hot-plate, mini-fridge and small number of dishes/silverware, glasses, and wine glasses. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Wi-Fi is strong; however, TV reception was hit-and-miss (but we didn’t use it much since, Paris!). • We loved leaving and picking up our room keys at the desk. We didn’t need to keep track of them on our excursions and it was lovely to say Bonjour to Reception as we came and went. • Since we were there for Christmas and New Year’s, we truly felt like this was our home. For example, upon our return on New Year's Eve, we were stunned to find a bottle of champagne with champagne flutes in our room with a lovely personalized note from the manager. • We splurged on a private car for our airport transportation to/from CDG. This was completely arranged through the hotel and surprisingly affordable (75€ for pickup, 65€ for drop off). Worth it for peace of mind and convenience! This was a bucket-list trip for us and the Résidence Henri IV made it perfect and memorable. Highly recommended!

Perfect! Perfect!

Hotel Henri IV is an utterly enchanting boutique hotel.
As other reviewers have noted, the location is great, but the hotel is in a real Parisian neighborhood as opposed to a tourist district. The building is classic “Hausmannian” design and as you can see from everyone’s photos, the property and the rooms are lovely.
The best part of our stay was the warmth and professionalism of the staff, especially Hicham and Qaisar. They will graciously assist with just about anything you need and answer any question you have.
We highly recommend Hotel Residence Henri IV if you want reasonably priced lodging in a great location away from the crowds on the Right Bank, with excellent service and imbued with classic Parisian character!

A fantastic stay in the fabulous boutique hotel A fantastic stay in the fabulous boutique hotel

I simply cannot rate this lovely boutique hotel highly enough. My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic 5 night stay. All the staff went over and above what could be expected to make our stay as comforatble as possible. They were all incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. A very clean room with a really comfortable bed. Our room had a fridge, microwave and an electric hob which is great if you just wanted or needed a night in. A great location near numerous convenience shops and restaurants and the metro. Would be our preferred place to sat in Paris. It is in a very quiet location but close to many major attractions. 6 stars!

Little gem Little gem

Great location, cosy traditional bedrooms, lovely staff - Ishram on reception was great! Very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Great power shower too and warm as it was freezing in Paris!
Bathroom was clean and had good amenities. Would stay again

Great Paris experience Great Paris experience

We stayed a full week, so we got a very good idea of everything the hotel had to offer. Everyone from the staff was friendly from the start. We picked this hotel for 3 reasons and were not disappointed: location, noise isolation and breakfast. All of these I give 5 stars.

Fall Visit Fall Visit

A return stay at one of my favorite hotels in Paris. The service was excellent and I am glad to see the same staff from my last visit 3 years ago. The room with a balcony is an extra bonus. Spacious rooms for a Parisian hotel. Morning sun and a pleasant park next door so quite nights on the left bank. Breakfast is good for a hotel and available as room service. A spacious tub/show which is great for a soak if you walk extensively as I did.
Two metro stops within five minutes walk, with award winning boulangeries near each. Notre Dame is 6 minutes in one direction and the Pantheon 6 minutes in the other. A number of good restaurants are also within walking distance. Small with an attentive staff that keeps me coming back.

Wonderful Wonderful

We really loved our stay. A wonderful hotel with a staff that was very friendly and helpful. Nice room. Perfect location for sightseeing and for shopping. We will certainly recommend this to our friends.

Lovely hotel in a great location Lovely hotel in a great location

Nice hotel which was quirky and felt very Parisian - just what we wanted. Lovely comfortable four poster bed (room 20) with a balcony. Good size for Paris. Very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay as tucked away but only round the corner from lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and exploring Paris. Will definitely return.

Very charming Very charming

Nice décor of 18th and 19th century ; clean ; good service ; spacious room ; nice hamman !
Good breakfast in bed and the staff is very helpful and kind !
The localisation is perfect in Paris, very central !

Perfect visit Perfect visit

Accommodating staff that from the outset made our visit wonderfully pleasant. Our room suited our family needs quite well. Staff were most helpful in allowing us to leave bags early in the day. Very nice room and location was terrific: quite quiet yet around the corner from a lively neighborhood.

Best small boutique hotel in Paris in the 5th (Quartier Latin) Best small boutique hotel in Paris in the 5th (Quartier Latin)

Impeccable décor of 18th and 19th century; very clean with our favorite crisp sheets; spacious rooms especially for Paris; up-dated bathrooms; warm and welcoming concierges for whom no request is too much. Breakfast is generous and fresh in an intimate space.
Away from the throngs of tourists, yet centrally located near the Seine and several metro stops and the RER B (from CDG); excellent restaurants as well as neighborhood cafes.

Henri IV, our home in Paris Henri IV, our home in Paris

The staff could not be more helpful with evert inquiry we had weather it was to find a restaurant, directions to sites, using the Metro and the RER.
This was our second time to stay there and we will go back again.
Also, there are several of the front desk staff that were there four years ago, it felt like seeing an old friend again.
Merci

The Hidden Gem - Hotel Residence Henri IV The Hidden Gem - Hotel Residence Henri IV

This hotel not only met our expectations it exceeded them. From the first greeting when we arrived in this beautiful, quaint establishment to the friendly and helpful goodbye, we haven't a single complaint, even the Wi-Fi was one of the receptions we've ever experienced. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and perfect for us. A pre-ordered, and reasonably priced bottle of champagne was cooling in our room on arrival, which we drank on the balcony. The hotel is central and very close to two Metro stations, which made sightseeing straightforward and simple. Breakfast was served in a lovely room and the selection was perfect for us. All in all, I would have no problem recommending this hotel to friends and family.

Fantastic Location/Quite Hotel Fantastic Location/Quite Hotel

Great small hotel. Rooms very well equipped with nice furniture plus fridge and microwave. Fantastic and quiet location really close to the Pantheon, shops and restaurants. Front Desk is open 24 hours. Small means small at just 13 rooms. We were on the ground floor - Room 1 and it was complete quiet.

Perfect stay Perfect stay

This is a charming small hotel in a beautiful area, and we loved it!
We stayed for 3 nights in an Elegance Room perfect for a couple. Everything was immaculately clean and the bed was large and very comfortable. There was even a small discrete kitchenette area in the room with a full size fridge, hot plate and sink unit, although this is something we didn’t take advantage of as we preferred, after busy days of sightseeing, to eat out in the many amazing restaurants nearby. The hotel breakfast was great every morning with a good selection of continental fare, smoked salmon, eggs and much more.
We used the Metro to get around the city and the nearest station is just a few minutes walk from the hotel.
I can’t end this review without mentioning the staff. They were all absolutely lovely and very helpful.
We would not hesitate to book this hotel again ❤️

Henri IV Henri IV

I highly recommend this boutique hotel. Superb location, close to many metro and RER stations. Also walk distance frim many attractions, as well all amenities: restaurans, coffee shops, boulangerie, minimarkets and so on. The hotel is situated near main streets in the left bank, in a narrow alley, and the windows are soundproof so no noise can be heard.
The staff speak English, very friendly and welcoming. Good and varied buffet breakfast.
We stayed in a suite, two large rooms and a charming balcony, with a newly renovated good size bathroom and a kitchenette.
Every day the housekeeper changed towels, sheets and cleaned the room without asking.
The aircondition works very well and so the wi-fi.
We had a very good experience!

Great stay at a charming little hotel Great stay at a charming little hotel

A great stay - mainly made great by the staff!
The room was large and spacious, with separate sitting area.
The staff could not do enough for us, made us feel so incredibly welcome!
The toiletries are a little on the small / cheap side so if there was any feedback it would be to provide better toiletries
The continental breakfast brought to the room is delicious and the perfect way to start the day, served with lovely coffee!
A really lovely stay, and we certainly would stay again
